Seed Systems Research and Development Within the Program

New Publications on Seed Systems in Stress

"Addressing Seed Security in Disaster Response: Linking Relief with Development", presents the findings of original research in the form of detailed case studies from seven African countries. Co-edited by CIAT with Catholic Relief Services and CARE Norway, the report examines whether vulnerable farmers are actually being helped by seed relief efforts and how current practice can be improved.

"Towards Effective and Sustainable Seed Relief Activities", published by the UN's Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), reports the results of a workshop organized jointly by FAO and CIAT in 2004.
