Career Profile: John  Yinda ATOYEBI

My present ongoing work is to investigate genetic diversity among some collected 35 accessions of Nigerian wild and cultivated sorghum using Molecular Markers, leading to discovery of useful traits for new resistant varieties towards increased sorghum production worldwide. This work is being undertaken at the National Centre for Genetic Resources and Biotechnology at Ibadan in Nigeria. The centre is a national focal point with a major mandate of Conservation, Utilization and Management of genetic resources of both flora and fauna.
